This summer, 350 teens are expected to convene on the Iowa State University campus to experience three consecutive days full of speakers, educational workshops, team building and service learning. The 2025 Iowa 4-H Youth Conference, themed “Lasso Your Legacy,” will occur June 24-26.

Regardless of youths' previous participation in 4-H, all who have completed eighth grade are invited to register for the Iowa 4-H Youth Conference. Registration is $250 and is now open in 4HOnline. Registration closes on June 1.

“Conference delegates will connect with Iowa State University, their land grant university, while learning about academic options and getting a taste of campus life by staying in the residence halls, eating in dining centers, enjoying campus recreational activities and attending workshops in campus classrooms, labs and facilities,” said Madeleine Bretey-Smith, conference coordinator and 4-H civic engagement and leadership program specialist with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach.

“This experience will help young people discover pathways to their future while enabling them to have an immediate impact in their home 4-H club, county, community or school,” Bretey-Smith added.
